Thought Process
To address these needs, I applied key instructional design principles, Cognition Load Theory and the 3 Second Rule .My approach aimed to prioritize essential information while enhancing engagement andultimately conversion to sales .
Development Process
I minimized cognitive overload by creating a clear information hierarchy. Prominent elements like the concert title, performer name,datetime were placed at the top, making it easy to process the most critical information first.
Applying therule, I emphasized essential details (venue, date, ticket info) with contrasting colors and bold typography to ensure these elements were easily noticeable.
I used size, color, and spacing to guide the viewer’s eye naturally from the performer’s name to the event details, location, and ticketing options. To ensure visual hierarchy and balance This approach aligns with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles by making navigation intuitive and accommodating diverse audience needs.
Also selecting open-source copyright free images that reflected the concert’s theme, aiming to evoke excitement and establish an emotional connection while maintaining organizational integrity .
Results and Takeaways
My increased proficiency in design tools like Canva for graphic creation and PowerPoint for presentations allows me to produce high-quality marketing materials efficiently.
